Dave Beneteau is a retired Canadian MMA fighter who competed in the early years of the UFC. Beneteau was an accomplished freestyle wrestler best known for his losses to Dan Severn and Oleg Taktarov at UFC 5, UFC 6, and UFC Ultimate Ultimate 1995. Dave fought in ufc 15 and pulled an upset over Carlos Barretto and the bowed out for the tournament finals. He was not too injured to continue and cpuld have fouggt Mark Kerr but he said he was not 100 percent so he pulled out. Dave never fought in the ufc again after that. He retired in 2001 with a career record of 6-5-1 and now works as a criminal lawyer.
