Akira Corassani began fighting professionally in 2007. He was a member of the 14th season of The Ultimate Fighter. He would start his UFC career off with 3 straight wins over Andy Ogle, Robbie Peralta and Maximo Blanco. However he would lose by TKO in his next 3 bouts to Dustin Poirier, Max Holloway and Sam Sicilia. Following the loss to Sicilia he would announce his retirement.
